Soundscape

Completed

Writer, Director, Editor, Sound Designer

Blind Film is a soundscape created as part of the MSc Media and Arts Technology program at Queen Mary University of London in December 2016.

This project explores the role of sound and music as layers of information in narrative.

A scene was designed with three main components: text, sound and music.

The soundscape is made up of repeating said scene three times. The first time only the text is heard (a monologue); in the second repetition the text and sounds can be heard. Then, there's a third repetition to listen to all the elements together (text, sounds and music).

In this way, the scene is repeated but the elements presented are different. The intention of this structure is to create a progression in the amount of information offered to the audience, so that the difference between scenes is more evident.
